Each year CHINFO evaluates the Cruise Books published by Naval Units and awards winners in two categories: Category V1 (small commands - fewer than 500 persons) and Category V2 (large commands - more than 500 persons).
This annual competition is announced by NAVADMIN in Nov/Dec of each year for Cruise Books published that calander year. Submissions are usually due to CHINFO by February, with winners announced by NAVADMIN in March.
